Product Description

The AirSense 11 AutoSet with heated humidifier is an open box special auto adjusting CPAP with less than 100 hours. This model is the newest generation of the ResMed AirSense platform and our refurbished models have very few hours. These devices are acquired from non-compliant CPAP users and undergo a 13 point refurbishment process with vigorous disinfection protocols. This auto-CPAP increases and decreases pressures based on your needs. All product information for this model can be found below. This refurbished model also includes a 18 month limited warranty. Gain confidence knowing your CPAP Machine is covered well past the first night of use.

The New AirSense 11 Series

The new S11 series is here! Technically referred to as the AirSense 11, this model replaces the previous ResMed 10 series and has been anticipated for a long time taking the S11 name. The AirSense 10 model was so successful and highly rated it was hard to imagine what ResMed could do differently to improve a newer model. Below is a list of the highlights of these changes as well as the manufacturer product information description and details.

AirSense 11 Auto is a CPAP machine that automatically adjusts (increases and decreases) pressure settings as determined by an algorithm that detects airway closure. This technology is great for new and old users of therapy. New users benefit from a device that allows them to acclimate to pressure without the feeling of being overwhelmed by higher air settings. The air blowing through the device and the compliance information can be downloaded while indicating an optimal pressure range or fixed setting if your doctor indicates you should stay on one setting throughout therapy.

AirSense Series Features

  • Auto Ramp- This feature begins the CPAP pressure at a low level and increases the pressure once you fall asleep. This is a great feature for new CPAP users who are adjusting to pressure as they wake up. The device will drop the pressure to allow you to get back to sleep faster without the feeling of an overwhelming high pressure setting and without the need to manually hit the ramp button again.
  • ClimateLineAir- The built-in heated humidifier is now a standard feature. This model includes a standard universal hose, however, you can purchase the ClimateLineAir heated tube to take advantage of the full effects of humidification. The heated hose is great for people that are sensitive to dryness from the use of CPAP and promotes humidity throughout the entire hose.
  • Advanced Event Detection- This device can tell the difference between obstructive sleep apnea events or central apnea events (central sleep apnea is treated with Bi-level therapy or ASV therapy and is most often not treated with standard CPAP pressure). Over time, this CPAP Machine can adjust comfort settings to the severity of your sleep apnea.
  • SmartStart- Simply put the mask on and start breathing which will initiate the device to turn on automatically and begin therapy. Please note: this setting is not activated when we ship your device unless you specify otherwise.

AirSense 11 CPAP User Manual

How Do I Access the Comfort Settings on the AirSense 11?

On your AirSense 11 machine, use the touchscreen to go to My Options to see your current settings. From here, you can personalize your options.

How Do I Adjust the Humidity?

In My Options, select Humidity Level. Scroll and select the desired humidity level. The humidifier moistens the air and is designed to make your therapy more comfortable. With the Climate Control Auto setting, both temperature and humidity are automatically preset at levels designed for maximum comfort. If you have a ClimateLineAir™ heated tube, all you have to do is plug it in and press Start. Note: ClimateLineAir heated tubing is required to use Climate Control Auto. You can also manually set the Humidity Level to Off or between 1 and 8, where 1 is the lowest humidity setting and 8 is the highest humidity setting. If you’re getting a dry nose or mouth, turn up the humidity. If you’re getting any moisture in your mask, turn down the humidity.

How Do I Adjust My Ramp Time Setting?

In My Options, select Ramp Time and adjust to your preferred setting. Ramp Time is the period during which the pressure increases from a low start airflow pressure to your prescribed treatment pressure. You can set your Ramp Time to Off, from 5 to 45 minutes or Auto. When Ramp Time is set to Auto, the device will detect when you have fallen asleep and then gradually increase to the prescribed treatment pressure.

Can I Use an Ozone Device to Clean My CPAP?

It has been observed that prolonged and repeated use of an ozone device may eventually cause internal damage to a CPAP machine, leading to an increase in motor noise. The limited warranty excludes damage to CPAP machines caused by use of ozone devices.

How Often Should I Replace my CPAP Parts?

It’s important to regularly inspect, clean and replace your CPAP supplies, which can be affected by dirt and general wear. You should regularly check the water tub, air tubing and air filter for any signs of wear or damage. Here are some replacement tips for your CPAP parts:

Humidifier Water Tank:

  • Replace if it begins leaking or has become cracked, cloudy or pitted.
  • Replace if the seal is cracked or torn.
  • Remove any white powder deposits using a solution of one part household vinegar to 10 parts water.

CPAP Hose Tubing

  • Replace if there are any holes, tears or cracks.

Air Filter

  • CPAP air filters can wear out or become clogged over time, potentially exposing you to airborne particles, mold and bacteria. We recommend checking them twice per month.
