The ResMed AirFit P10 headgear is very similar to the older style P10 Headgear, but now has an adjustable strap. The headgear is available as a replacement for a worn out or stretched strap without the need to buy a completely new CPAP system. If you notice yourself over tightening your headgear at night it may be a sign that it is time to replace it. On average, a mask headgear strap has a lifespan of only 3-6 months depending on care. Quick-Fit Elastic Headgear: The AirFit P10 replacement strap promotes a good fit for your CPAP mask without the need for Velcro tabs or clips. The quick-fit headgear effortlessly attaches to your nasal pillows mask in seconds so you can swap out your old stretched out band for a new one. The elastic has a fabric side for comfort and is designed to fit close to your head without being too tight. Simply wear the gray side facing out and the blue side facing in for mistake-proof use with your ResMed AirFit P10 nasal pillow mask. The strap holds the mask in place to alleviate sleep apnea without too much pressure on the sides or back of your head. The mask stays in place all night long and won't disturb your sleep because of a poor fit.
Customize the fit of your p10 headgear assembly with the innovative split back strap that allows you to adjust it quickly. Just pull the straps apart for a looser fit or place them closer together for a tighter fit. One size fits most. Because the back straps are completely smooth, they can help you sleep more comfortably. You’ll be able to adjust your sleeping position throughout the night and avoid snagging tabs or clips that can disturb you and wake you up. The fabric ensures a gentle fit that’s soft against your skin to minimize irritation and won’t tangle or pull your hair.
Care and Cleaning: The strap should be washed weekly using a mild soap in order to keep it feeling clean and smelling fresh with every use. Rinse it well, and allow it to air dry completely before reattaching it to your AirFit P10 nasal pillow mask. Do not wash the mask or headgear in a washing machine or dishwasher to avoid damaging it and risking your headgear becoming unusable.
Important Tip: The quick-fit headgear for your P10 nasal pillow CPAP should be replaced every at least every 6 months to ensure the fit and seal are just right with each use. And because there’s no doctor visit or prescription needed, you can select new headgear for your nasal pillow CPAP mask as needed to maintain optimal air, fit, and style.
