OxLife Battery Management
- 1. With the combined use of the battery, AC power cord, and DC power cord your time away from home is virtually limitless. Using the AC and DC power cords whenever possible will give you optimal battery life. The battery will charge in the device, when plugged into an external power source.
- 2. The Oxlife Independence is equipped with a rechargeable battery that is NOT user accessible. When the battery is fully charged, it can supply power for up to 6 hours depending on the user's setting.
- 3. The Oxlife Independence battery includes a battery charge status indicator located on the front of the battery. Simply press the PUSH button on battery to display the remaining battery life in 25% increments
- 4. The typical time to recharge a fully discharged battery is approximately 1.5 hours if charging a single battery and 2.5 hours if charging two with the device plugged into AC power and powered off. Battery Charge times with the device running will vary depending on setting used.
- 5. You will achieve longer battery run time when using your Oxlife Independence in Pulse Flow Mode.
- 6. Battery Charge Status is also displayed on the control panel.
OxLife Pulse Flow Settings
The Oxlife has flow setting that increase in .5 increments for better titration and has a large LCD screen that is easy to read.
Continuous Flow Mode
A continuous flow of oxygen will travel through the cannula and into your nose.
Pulse Flow Mode
The device will detect your breath and supply a measured pulse of oxygen or bolus. The breath detect icon will flash on the control panel with each breath.
If no breath is detected for 45 seconds the Oxlife screen will turn yellow and the device will beep once; if there is no additional breath for 15 seconds the device will default to the previous continuous mode setting.
Why Continuous and Pulse Flow All in One Concentrator?
Oxlife Independence gives users a choice between pulse dose and continuous flow operation. While in continuous flow, the POC provides a continuous flow of medical grade oxygen at various volumes typically between 1 3 liters of oxygen per minute. Most doctors prescribe oxygen at 2 liters or greater and then adjust according to oxygen saturation levels.
Oxlife Independence also gives users the option of pulse dose therapy to conserve battery life and excursion times.
Dual mode POCs are the only oxygen concentrators that give patients true freedom to travel and use while sleeping.
Travel
From your bedroom to the golf course, to Disneyland or where ever life takes you The Oxlife Independence is your One Solution for Freedom to travel by car, bus, airplane, train, and sea.
