AirCurve ST-A Features

  • Intelligent Volume Assured Pressure Support - ResMed introduces iVAPS, which adapts to your specific breathing needs. Manually input your information such as height and respiratory rate through the CPAP machine or turn on the learned feature tool and your individual breathing patterns will adjust the machine accordingly. Intelligent back-up rate or (iBR) is another unique feature of this machine. iBR maximizes the opportunity for you to breathe spontaneously. Simply put, back-up breaths are utilized from the machine when it senses you have stopped breathing meaning you receive the restful night sleep no matter your breathing patterns.
  • Personalized to your needs - Similar to other AirSense and AirCurve 10 CPAP Machines, you can adjust your settings to what is most beneficial for you! Change the time zone, mask interface and numerous other features based on your personal preferences.
  • Quietly Intelligent - With a built-in light sensor that automatically adjusts to the amount of light in the room, you can rest assured knowing you will not disrupt your bed partner with a bright, glaring screen. Ensure everyone gets the silent night of sleep they deserve!
  • Integrated Humidification - Sleep comfortably knowing you will not wake up with a dry mouth or feeling discomfort with this machine. Simple to adjust, you can change the amount of humidification you receive by navigating through an easy setup menu.
  • SmartStart and AutoStop - Achieve your exact prescription setting from the moment you breathe into your CPAP mask on the first night! Designed to start therapy once triggered by your breath and stop therapy as soon as your mask is taken off, gain confidence knowing the peaceful night of sleep your have been searching for is only moments away.
  • Wireless Data Transmission - Transmits compliance data via a wireless signal (Only available for use in the United States).

Q: How do I Adjust the AirSense/AirCurve 10 Comfort Settings?

A: To access and personalize your settings on the AirSense/AirCurve 10 machine, rotate the dial to highlight "My Options." Once the desired option is highlighted, press the dial to view and adjust your current settings.

Q: How Do I Adjust the Humidifier Settings?

A: In My Options, turn the dial to highlight Humidity Level and then press the dial.

Turn the dial to adjust the humidity level and press the dial to save the change. If you’re getting a dry nose or mouth, turn up the humidity. If you’re getting any moisture in your mask, turn down the humidity.

The humidifier enhances the air's moisture content, ensuring a more comfortable therapeutic experience. Equipped with the Climate Control enhanced Auto setting, this device automatically adjusts temperature and humidity to optimal levels for maximum comfort. Simply plug it in, press Start and enjoy a relaxing treatment.

You can also manually set the Humidity Level to Off or between 1 and 8, where 1 is the lowest humidity setting and 8 is the highest humidity setting. (Note: if you’re using a ClimateLineAir™ heated tube, you will need to turn the Climate Control setting on your device from “Auto” to “Manual” to access the humidity level setting.)

Q: How Do I Adjust Ramp Time?

A: In My Options, turn the dial to highlight Ramp Time and then press the dial.

Turn the dial to adjust the ramp time to your preferred setting and press the dial to save the change. Ramp Time is designed to make the beginning of therapy more comfortable and is the period during which the airflow pressure increases from a low start pressure to your prescribed treatment pressure. You can set your Ramp Time to Off, from 5 to 45 minutes.

Q: How Often Should I Replace AirSense/AirCurve 10 Machine Parts?

A: Regularly maintain your CPAP supplies, as dirt and wear can affect them. Check the water tub, air tubing, and filter frequently for damage.

Water Tank: Replace if it is leaking or has become cracked, cloudy or pitted. Replace if the seal is cracked or torn. Remove any white powder deposits using a solution of one part household vinegar to 10 parts water.

Hose Tubing: Replace if there are any holes, tears or cracks.

Machine Filter: Check the air filter and replace it at least every six months. Replace it more often if there are any holes or blockages by dirt or dust.
