CPAP Bacteria Filter by Spirit Medical

This Product DOES NOT Require a Prescription

Clean the Air You Breathe

This add-on filter is used to help alleviate allergy symptoms and deliver the cleanest air possible. If you suffer from sinus infections or allergies, it is highly recommended that you add an in line bacteria filter to your nightly sleep therapy to reduce the dust and pollen you breathe in every night. The bacteria filter cleans the air as it leaves your CPAP or BiPAP machine ensuring you receive high quality air pressure.

This bacteria filter has a universal connection on both ends allowing the bacteria filter to work with all brands of CPAP machines and CPAP tubing. The filter is disposable and should NOT be cleaned. Users find the best results when replacing the filter every month, similar to a standard machine filter.

The Cleanest Add-on CPAP Supply

To use, you can attach the filter directly to your machine, CPAP hose, or mask elbow to receive clean air pressure. While the design is much different, the best thing to do is treat the bacteria filter similar to a standard machine filter. Replace all of your CPAP supplies on a regular basis to reduce dirt and pollen build-up that will reduce the effectiveness of treating your sleep apnea.

Using a dirty filter can cause your machine to work harder to provide the correct air pressure. The harder the machine works, the more susceptible it is to being damaged. Always keep your filters clean or replace them on a regular basis to reduce the chance of the machine being damaged. We have included a recommended replacement schedule below for the best times to replace your CPAP supplies.

How Often Should I Replace My Filters?

To make sure that the air quality you breathe during the
night is high and safe, you need to replace or clean the CPAP filters
periodically. If you have pets, have someone in your home who smokes, or have a
wood-burning stove, you will need to replace the filters more regularly. Disposable
CPAP filters should be replaced every 1-3 months. You cannot reuse them. You
will want to change the disposable in-line bacteria filters every 30 days.

Reusable filters should be replaced every 12-24 months depending
on routine maintenance.

How Do I Clean My Machine Filter?

Unless your machine uses a reusable filter, it is recommended
to dispose of the CPAP filter and not attempt to clean and reuse. Disposable filters
are typically made of a thin white material and should be disposed/replaced
when noticeable build up can be seen or it has been 3 months. Reusable filters
are made of foam-like material and can be cleaned by hand and left to air dry.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for disposable CPAP
filters is A7038. The HCPC code for reusable CPAP filters is A7039.

Do I Need a Prescription for This Product?

No, machine and mask parts do not require a prescription for
purchase. Often you can prolong the life of your CPAP machine by replacing your
CPAP filter on a frequent basis!

Fits Phillips Respronics

This fit my Phillips Respironics CPAP. I just unhooked my hose from the CPAP machine, slipped this on in place of the hose, then slipped the hose on the other end.
