This machine can be run by a battery. The Transcend 8-cell battery can last between 14-16 hours on a full charge. There is also a 4-cell battery available. The Transcend II also has a Transcend mobile power adapter so you can run your machine from a cigarette lighter. This option is great for truck drivers.
