AirFit F20 and F20 for Her CPAP Cushion

This product does not require a prescription

Product Description

AirFit F20 and F20 for Her by ResMed replacement cushion is the silicone seal that attaches to the full face CPAP mask. Facial oil buildup on the silicone will break down the consistency of the cushion over time and lead to mask leak. When this occurs, it is time to replace your AirFit F20 seal.

The Fit series and Touch series are the newest family of sleep apnea therapy products from ResMed. The full face style implements a design that covers the nose and the mouth, allowing the user to breathe through both.

Important Product Note

The AirFit F20 and AirFit F20 for Her masks use the same cushions. Both masks are intended for use with either the small or medium cushions, while the large cushion is intended for use with the AirFit F20 Full Face Mask.

How Do You Remove AirFit F20 Cushions?

Removing the ResMed AirFit F20 full face mask cushion is part of the disassembly process of this essential CPAP accessory. Before proceeding with the removal process, please make sure the AirFit F20 full face mask or ResMed AirTouch F20 full face mask is not connected to any CPAP machines.

Additionally, make sure you know which part of the full face mask goes up. A great reminder is to leave the magnetic clips on the ResMed F20 full face CPAP mask attached to the lower part. This will help you distinguish which parts you need to have a ResMed AirFit F20 replacement cushion fitted to.

Here is the disassembly process:

  • Loosen the tabs found on the upper part of the AirTouch F20 and AirFit F20 full face masks. Carefully pull the straps out of the CPAP mask.
  • Locate the side buttons found on the frame of the mask. Press these to slide the elbow away.
  • Firmly hold the mask frame. Carefully remove the cushion. Insert the ResMed replacement cushion as needed.

How Do I Know Which Size Cushion to Buy?

It is very important to confirm the size of replacement mask
cushion seal for a few reasons. 1.) While most CPAP masks use a standard frame
size, some offer different sizes. 2.) Once a cushion has been opened from the original
packaging it cannot be returned. You can usually find the size of the cushion
labeled some place on your current mask, be sure to check there first. Not
sure? Feel free to use our live chat to speak with an agent for assistance.

Is This Cushion Seal Latex Free?

Yes, all CPAP mask cushions we
sell are latex free. Most cushion seals are made from soft silicone material.
For CPAP users that experience discomfort from silicone cushions there are some
masks that use cloth or memory foam material. Feel free to speak with one of
our customer service agents to find out more.

How Often Should I Replace This Cushion Seal?

Your mask cushion seal typically has a life span of 1-3 months,
however with proper care they can last up to 6 months. Signs of replacement will
be excessive mask leak and/or discoloration.

How Do I Clean My Mask Cushion Seal?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with
your mask system. The rule of thumb for most mask cushion seals is to clean
with mild soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your cushion
seal daily to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks.

I Want to Submit an Insurance Claim. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a nasal or full-face
cushion is A7032. For pillow cushion styles you should use HCPC code A0733.

No pain and great seal

So glad I tried these. Was having problems with sore areas around nose when using the silicone cushions. The memory foam seals great and does not damage my skin. Wish I had tried them sooner.

Causes burns on your face

I have had a BiPAP machine for 10 years. My current mask that I got from Respironics worked fine but I was told I couldn’t get it anymore. The CPAP company said I need this mask. I tried it and I love the fit however I got blisters and it burnt my skin. After a few days it my skin started peeling off. I have pictures to prove this. They need to take this off the market and let us know what is the mask is actually made of

Seal issues

I needed the large mask and decided to try the memory foam instead of the silicone. I to had problems with the seal, silicone worked better for me.

Comfortable and quiet

Mask is comfortable and quiet. I've had issues with noise from other masks but this one is quiet enough to sleep through the whole night. Had to adjust the straps at first to get the right seal but now works great.
