ResPlus Humidifier Water Chamber

The replacement water chamber is compatible with the ResPlus CPAP Machine by Beyond Medical. This humidifier chamber is accessible on the right hand side of the machine by lifting the lid of the heated humidifier. You do not need to remove the top lid of the chamber to fill the tank with water. Simply pour water into the hole on top of the water chamber lid. Do not add water over the Max Fill Line as it is not recommended by the manufacturer. When placing the water chamber back into the humidifier, keep the indented portion of the chamber towards the back and at the bottom. The water chamber will only fit one way in the Heated Humidifier. In order to receive the full benefits of sleep therapy, a CPAP supply needs replacement on a regular basis.

Cleaning Process

Beyond Medical designed the water chamber to be easily filled and cleaned. First, open the cap of the water chamber by the two clips, found on the side of the chamber. Once opened wash out with liquid dish soap to remove any possible build-up. The use of a lint-free cloth may be needed to reach every corner of the tub while being careful not to cause damage to the water chamber. Lastly, rinse out the soap with water and dry with another cloth to ensure no soap remains. After completing this process, you may need to allow the water chamber to air dry to fully remove all residue.

Can I Use Tap Water to Fill My CPAP Humidifier Water Tank?

It is recommended to always use distilled water for your CPAP humidifier. Bottled or tap water contains harsh minerals that can cause buildup and damage your equipment.

How Often Should I Fill the CPAP Water Tank?

The frequency to fill or change your water can be dependent on multiple factors including time of year and your machine settings. Typically, in summer months you will notice the use of your air conditioner may slow the rate of your CPAP water use while wintertime will make you fill it daily.

How do I Clean the Water Chamber Tank?

You should clean the water chamber regularly. A good method is to wash it with a solution of mild dish soap and warm water, then rinse it thoroughly. You can also soak it in a solution of one part white vinegar to two parts water for 10 minutes before rinsing well.
