S9 Series Hypo-Allergenic Filters

This Product DOES NOT Require a Prescription

Product Description

These Hypo-Allergenic filters are designed specifically to be used with the ResMed™ S9 Series CPAP or Bi-Level machines. The length, width, and height are specific to the filter compartment of the S9 Series machine and is why it is only meant for this style of machine. These filters are an additional step in preventing dust, debris, and pollen from entering your CPAP machine. If you are susceptible to allergies, either seasonally or not, a hypo-allergenic filter is recommended for use with your CPAP machine.

Hypo-Allergenic filters are disposable and should be replaced monthly to ensure the user is receiving the highest quality of air as well as increase the life expectancy of the machine. A dirty filter will cause the machine to work harder when pulling the room air and depending on the severity of the dirty filter could cause complete failure of the machine.

These are not to be washed and if they get wet, should be replaced with a new filter and dispose of the old one.

How Often Should I Replace My Filters?

To make sure that the air quality you breathe during the
night is high and safe, you need to replace or clean the CPAP filters
periodically. If you have pets, have someone in your home who smokes, or have a
wood-burning stove, you will need to replace the filters more regularly. Disposable
CPAP filters should be replaced every 1-3 months. You cannot reuse them. You
will want to change the disposable in-line bacteria filters every 30 days.

Reusable filters should be replaced every 12-24 months depending
on routine maintenance.

How Do I Clean My Machine Filter?

Unless your machine uses a reusable filter, it is recommended
to dispose of the CPAP filter and not attempt to clean and reuse. Disposable filters
are typically made of a thin white material and should be disposed/replaced
when noticeable build up can be seen or it has been 3 months. Reusable filters
are made of foam-like material and can be cleaned by hand and left to air dry.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for disposable CPAP
filters is A7038. The HCPC code for reusable CPAP filters is A7039.

Do I Need a Prescription for This Product?

No, machine and mask parts do not require a prescription for
purchase. Often you can prolong the life of your CPAP machine by replacing your
CPAP filter on a frequent basis!

I have to agree with Royce on the previous comment. These are better quality than the knock offs from Amazon

Dont Be Cheap

Always buy the branded filters. I made the mistake of buying something cheap from ebay and they were like paper. I will never do that again!

Waaaay better than the one I got from Amazon

These are the ones made by the manufacturer and no t the generic. I made the mistake of buying generic off of Amazon and I got ripped off. I will always stick to the brand one.
