ResMed AirFit F20 Full Face CPAP Mask

The all new ResMed AirFit F20 full face mask is part of the ResMed family of full face style CPAP masks. This style of sleep apnea interface is designed to cover your nose and mouth, allowing you to breathe through either while sleeping. The F20 and F20 for Her are much lighter weight and more comfortable than full face masks of the past. If your current mask is leaking air around your eyes or is difficult to obtain a seal, then the AirFit and AirTouch series may be able to help with your CPAP compliance.

The AirFit F20 is equipped with an innovative new cushion design, InfinitySeal cushion technology and a variety of other design enhancements. The InfinitySeal cushion starts at the bridge of the nose and falls below the mouth to provide CPAP therapy to the nose and mouth. This new mask cushion features specially-designed infinity loops and varying thickness levels designed to reduce blowout and provide support at the sides of the nose.

The frame is soft and flexible and includes integrated padding. The result is a ResMed mask that comfortably moves with you and provides a reliable seal throughout the night, regardless of sleep position.

The AirFit F20 is the most technologically advanced full face mask ever. With this simple design, each size cushion can easily be clicked into the standard AirFit F20 frame. The AirFit F20 Full Face Mask is similar to the AirFit F10 Full Face CPAP Mask with Headgear. To increase the comfort of the mask, ResMed added padding to the mask frame and headgear, making the ResMed AirFit softer and more comfortable.

Special Features and Benefits of the AirFit F20

  • Open Visibility Mask Design -The face mask covers the nose and mouth without the aid of a forehead support. The frame spreads low beneath the eyes and rises high above the ears. Those who are claustrophobic or enjoy reading and watching TV before falling asleep may enjoy the open range of visibility.
  • InfinitySeal Full Face Cushion -The newly designed F20 mask provides an effective seal across a wide range of therapy pressures to strengthen the seal throughout CPAP therapy. This cushion pairs with the frame which is intended to fit a number of different face types and structures.
  • Padded Headgear with Magnetic Clips - Plush headgear is specifically designed for extra softness and stability. The clips guide the headgear to the frame quickly and easily.
  • Quick Release Elbow with Air Diffuser -This feature allows the user to quickly stop and start therapy without the need to disrupt the mask. Diffused venting evenly disperses air to dampen air flow and noise out of the mask.
  • Multiple Headgear Sizes Available -Three different headgear sizes to ensure an optimal fit for the user. Only the Standard size is included with the purchase of this F20 mask and headgear unit. The other sizes available for purchase are: Small and Large. Choose the best for your face structure and cushion size.

What Style of CPAP Mask is This?

This is a full face style CPAP mask. These masks use a silicone cushion that provides a seal around the
nose and mouth to allow the user to breathe through both.

Will This Brand
of CPAP Mask Work with My CPAP or Bi-Level Machine?

Most CPAP masks are designed
to be universal and will work with any manufacturer. Example: Your Philips
Respironics CPAP mask will work with your ResMed CPAP machine. The masks are
also designed to fit any brand of standard 22mm CPAP tubing. The exception to
the rule will be for certain travel CPAP machines like the ResMed AirMini
whereas special masks and connectors are needed.

I Want to Submit a Self-Claim to My Insurance. Can I Do
This?

In most cases you can submit a claim form for an out-of-net
network provider. You may receive reimbursement back from your provider
depending on your coverage and co-pay. The HCPC code for a full face CPAP mask
is A7030 and A7035

How Often Should I Replace This Mask?

This will depend on how well you clean and maintain your
CPAP mask. The typical lifespan for the complete mask is 3-12 months based on
care. The cushion seal and headgear should be replaced every 1-3 months based
on wear and tear. Signs to replace will include noticeable mask leakage and/or
discoloration.

How Do I Clean This Mask?

You should consult the owner’s manual that is included with
your mask system. The rule of thumb for most CPAP masks is to clean with mild
soap by hand and let air dry. It is important to clean your cushion seal daily
to remove facial oils, makeup or dirt that can cause mask leaks. Your headgear
strap should be cleaned by hand weekly and left to dry by room air.

No pain and great seal

So glad I tried these. Was having problems with sore areas around nose when using the silicone cushions. The memory foam seals great and does not damage my skin. Wish I had tried them sooner.

Causes burns on your face

I have had a BiPAP machine for 10 years. My current mask that I got from Respironics worked fine but I was told I couldn’t get it anymore. The CPAP company said I need this mask. I tried it and I love the fit however I got blisters and it burnt my skin. After a few days it my skin started peeling off. I have pictures to prove this. They need to take this off the market and let us know what is the mask is actually made of

Seal issues

I needed the large mask and decided to try the memory foam instead of the silicone. I to had problems with the seal, silicone worked better for me.
