CPAP Filters

CPAP machine filters protect you and your CPAP device from contaminants and provide optimal air quality. These CPAP filters restrict a wide range of dust, pollen, and contaminated air particles that can cause illness. We offer a wide variety of ultrafine, hypoallergenic, foam, pollen, and bacteria filters for most CPAP and BiPAP models on the market. Filters help to clean the air that flows through your CPAP machine. It is recommended to replace your CPAP filters every four weeks.

If you live in a home with pets or a smoker, you will need to replace your CPAP filters more frequently. We offer a wide variety of filters, so you are sure to find what you need. From Philips to ResMed, 3B Medical, and more, if you need it, we have it. Stock up with a six-pack or larger and save money.

What Is the Purpose of CPAP Filters?

Whether you’re using ResMed AirSense 10, AirCurve 10 or Philips Respironics DreamStation Go, all CPAP machines get air from the environment around you. That means you’ll be inhaling dust particles that are moving freely in the air around you. Besides dust particles, the air you breathe also contains pathogens that cause colds and trigger allergies. With the help of disposable filters, you can perform CPAP therapy without inhaling dust and pathogens. Unfortunately, a travel CPAP machine pressurizes only the air in your room. Though your Philips Respironics DreamStation Go has a built-in filter, this air filter cannot entirely block all particles from the air.

Can CPAP Machine Filters Be Washed?

There are two types of filters in CPAP machines: the foam filter and disposable filter. A foam filter is made of reusable foam. Thus, you need to wash the foam now and then to keep it clean and hygienic. This foam and reusable filter are already part of the machine. The other type of filter is the replacement filter. This filter is disposable and suitable for single use only. You can buy these at a CPAP supply store. When buying disposable filters, it’s best if you buy the dedicated filter for the machine brand. For PR System One Series CPAP machines, there are specific filters for this brand. Do not buy filters of other brands to avoid problems with their use.

How Often Should You Change the Filter on Your CPAP?

The foam filters are reusable filters by their nature, but you need to replace them every six months. Moreover, you should replace disposable fine filters every two weeks. Take note that these disposable filters cannot be washed or cleaned. As stated earlier, they are for single use only. You can buy a single pack of filters, a two-pack of filters, or a filter kit. Usually, one pack has six filters.
